Dog Paw Door Hangers

Dog lovers love to find ways to incorporate their pets into their home decor, and what better way to do that than by making a dog paw door hanger? This fun and easy DIY project is perfect for pet owners who want to showcase their love for their furry friends.

In this project we used these products from The Wreath Shop:

16" Vine/Fabric Paw Print: Tan/Wht Dot
2.5" Red/Wht Stitched Square Ribbon in Lt Beige/Black
1.5" Bone/Paw Print Ribbon in Lt Beige Gingham
Seeded Eucalyptus Bush
Sharp Ribbon Scissors
Wire Cutters
Chenille Stems and/or Zip Ties to tie your bow together and attach it to the paw.
Hot glue gun
You can make your bow by hand or use a bow maker like the EZ Bow Maker to make it a little easier.

Step 1: Make your Bow

Make a layered bow by making three separate bows with two loops and tails each, with the bottom bow being the largest, and make each bow on top slightly smaller. We made the top bow with a small third loop to cover the chenille stem that we used to tie the bow together. Fluff your bow and don't forget to dovetail the ribbon tails, cutting an upside down "V" in them to finish it off.

Step 2: Attach Your Bow to the Paw Hanger

Attach your bow to the hanger by working the chenille stems through the grapevine edge at the bottom of the dog paw, and give the stems a couple of light twists on the backside.

Step 3: Add Greenery

You can add whatever greenery you prefer, but we added some spring eucalyptus. Cut stems off of the bush, and gather two bunches of stems together, with each bunch facing the opposite direction so you have leaves on each end and stems in between, and tie together in the center with one or two zip ties. Untwist the chenille stems from the bow, and add the greenery underneath. Now give the chenille stems a couple good tight twists to tie everything down.

If you prefer, you can simply hot glue the greenery stems into the bow, but our way is a little cleaner!

Step 4: Hang Your Door Hanger

Your dog paw door hanger is now complete! Fluff your bow and Hang it on your front door or inside your home to showcase your love for your furry friend(s).
